Often when English speaking music is introduced in non-English speaking countries, people who can't say "bathroom" can end up singing all the words to a Nirvana song that most English people don't even understand.
Whilst taking in "the Eric Eggleston Band" in Gothenburg recently, it would seem that the beautiful Swedes had been bopping to the boys' beats for decades. Songs like "20-20" and "Racking my Brain" had me feeling great, and it wasn't just the view, the tunes carry a soulful innocence that blend genres the way that I felt like blending gene pools. If the album flows with half the grace of the live show, I will be lining up for the first interview."

Eggleston's songs evoke an emotional response, a common trait of hit records. His music is unpretentious and natural. The quality sets up an environment of immediate comfort. I was surprised at how many great songs are on this album.
