The 1st
annual Breast Fest(a concert
for breast cancer) will take place this Friday.
The event was inspired by Debbie Lutz, a
close friend of the family who contracted
the disease almost 2 years ago. She’s
courageously bounced back and managed to
turn a horrible experience into a positive
one. A few months ago, Debbie mentioned to
me that she was interested in staging an
event to celebrate life and to raise funds
to help further the research of breast cancer
drugs and to eventually find a cure for this
not so uncommon plague.
The awesome line up will include Manic
Shift as well as a special set by Jessica
Millar who sang on our first album "Passin’ Through".
Among the raffle and door prizes
will be a Fender Acoustic guitar donated
by Alexander Keith’s India Pale
Ale. Come out and support our
beautiful women!
Tickets are $15, include a CD, and are available through ticketmaster.ca
(755-1111) or at the door on the night of the event.
If you haven’t picked up our latest record already it’s available at all CD Wharehouses or buy it online here.
I’d better get my own trailer with a poodle! That’s
right, by the time you read this, we will be in Hollywood,
California filming an episode of "Music On Demand",
to be aired all over the States in December on the OMNI
Network.
Don’t worry it’s not a reality show where
one of us gets voted out of the band.
On the show we will be performing Racking My Brain, So Young, Where the Dames are swell, 20/20 and new track The Walk.
Join us at Gracie’s East on Ogilvie Rd for
a Holloween bash a la 80’s on Saturday,
October 30th. Don’t forget to dress up.
